 FLORISIL 250UM 20X20CM (25 PLATES/BOX) P92011 Florisil* is an activated magnesium silicate material used in normal phase chromatography. It is slightly less porous than silica gel and has a higher pH value of about 9.5. It is used in lipid separations as well nitrogen containing substances such as pesticides. Florisil is coated without binder resulting in a soft surface that is easy to scrape for recovery of material. Compatible with organic solvents but has limited tolerance for aqueous mobile phases. Layers are available with and without a UV254 fluorescent indicator. A variety of sizes is available. * Florisil is a trademark of US Silica Company |
